Who We Are
The Weyburn Agricultural Society originated from the enthusiasm of a
small group of men interested in horse racing. It was named the Weyburn
Turf Club. In 1908 the Turf Club was reorganized into the Weyburn
Agricultural Society. The Society is a non-profit organization of
volunteers providing an annual exhibition, development and improvement
of agriculture and agricultural practices, the promotion of youth
activities and the betterment of rural and urban life in general. The
organization is a vital part of the community, providing education, a
meeting place to enjoy fellowship and an opportunity to view the efforts
of urban and rural citizens.
Weyburn Agricultural Society is pleased to award a bursary for $500 to a
student who has exhibited at Weyburn Fair and who is attending post
secondary school. Preference will be given to agriculture related
courses.
